What The Future

We want to be with our child every moment. We are eager to see him, watch all his activities when he is in kindergarten. Kindergarten school is a wonderland for us parents. We get to see so many cute little angels, all playing, studying doing activities. Seeing your child wearing caps and gowns for graduation is a dream that need s to be treasured. There are other special things also to capture before taking their pictures in graduation gown with cap and gown.

These things are not possible in reality. There is a way to see those special moments indirectly. We can take pictures of his kindergarten activities and treasure the moments by putting those pictures in the scrapbook and personalizing it.

Many schools become busy during the graduation year as they have to prepare school’s graduation magazine containing pictures of all activities done by students. You can volunteer to do this task for them. In a year the students do so many tasks in the class, like, drawing, art and craft, poem competition, plays, games, and so on. Then there will be graduation ceremony. You can cover all this in your video or even capture it in your camera. This is a daily activity where you will be required to come to school daily. This will not be possible for you. So, be in touch with your kid’s class teacher. She will let you know as to when special activities are going to take place. Because you have volunteered to help the school, so don’t be partial in focusing only your child’s performance. Treat all students equal and cover each one of them along with your kid.

In a week you will find that you have collected quite a lot of pictures and video. Take a day’s gap and then sort out the pictures. Arrange the pictures according to the events and date. Put all the class game pictures at one place and put all the class work related pictures on the other place. Once when you are done doing this sorting of the pictures according to their subject and theme, then send it in the photo lab for making the final print. Discuss with the school as to how many copies they require. Many other parents would also be interested in those sweet memories, so you can even ask them as to which picture and how many copies of it they will want. And finally you can give the order to the lab. Ask before hand as whether they want a soft copy or hard copy of the pictures. It is easy to give softcopy of the pictures and video to the school. As there are multiple photos taken by you, the school can sort out pictures of their utility and put it in the magazine.

You should also keep softcopy with you so that you can develop them later. Make a separate folder where you can put your personal photo collection of your child.  The best way to keep these pictures will be to paste it in the scrapbook and write all those details that you noticed while taking these pictures beside or below the photographs.

Today’s hard work will pay you in the long run, as you have with you your child’s special moments.
